What To Bring

  •         Temperatures in spring and fall will fluctuate. Anglers should dress in layers, with wool being among your wardrobe. Summer will see high temperatures and therefore light clothing is in order. Don't forget your rain gear. Chest waders or hippers with felt soles are used for summer and fall fishing.
  •         Rods will range from 8 1/2 to 9 1/2 feet, rated for an 8 or 9 weight line. Your reel should accommodate 125 yards of backing. A sinking line is used for spring fishing with a floating line being the order of the day for the rest of the season. Large flies, number one and two are used in the spring, while four through ten are used during the rest of the season depending upon water conditions. Mickey Finn, Golden Eagle, Black Ghost, Black Bear, Green Machine, Rusty Rats, and Butterflies are all popular to name but a few. We have a great selection of flies, so don't worry if these names are foreign to your vocabulary.
  •         Should you not own this fishing gear, come along anyway. Bring the clothes on your back and we have everything else to make your vacation memorable.
  •         Most importantly don’t forget your desire to have fun. Since fish appear to have minds of their own, when it comes to entering the river, rising to the fly and taking, we do not guarantee catching. We do however ; guarantee one of the best fishing adventures anywhere in the world.
